Grami comes to life: Datagram meme & art contest

2025 has been a breakout year for Datagram. Just one week after launching our Alpha Testnet, the community helped bring over 50,000 nodes online. Right now we’ve already reached 100,000 nodes. These are massive milestones that prove the network is alive and scaling fast.

Our community has grown faster than we ever imagined. We see all of you: the node runners, early testers, creators and builders who are making Datagram what it is.

While the team focuses on preparing for the upcoming Node Sale, Token Generation Event and Mainnet launch, we’re calling on you to help awaken something special: the Nodelet. This character was first introduced when the Alpha Testnet went live and now it’s time to give it form.

Now we need your help to shape the next part of the story. Bring the Nodelet to life. Because at the end of the day, Datagram is a network of Nodelets. And every one of you is part of it.

Before launching the meme and art contest, we asked the community to help us name the Nodelet mascot. The response was overwhelming, with hundreds of creative submissions and strong participation in the final vote.

The winning name: Grami.

Rooted in the word “Datagram,” Grami captures the essence of the Nodelet. Small, connected, and vital to the network. It now stands as a symbol of the community driving Datagram forward.

Thank you to everyone who submitted, voted, and helped shape this moment. Grami is now part of the story, and it’s just getting started.

Characteristics: Loves to jump through the Datagram metaverse to collect rewards by using idle resources for the network. Restless optimizer, small but powerful, learns & adapts, always moving & improving.

This competition is open to all types of visual art, from illustrations, posters, and concept art to animated shorts, video clips, comics, or even AI-generated visuals.
